The most successfull companies of the 15th competition „Großen Preis des Mittelstandes 2009“ (Price for middle sized companies) were awarded during a Gala evening on 26th in Düsseldorf. Organized by Oskar-Patzelt-Foundation the winners from the federal states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Northrhine-Westfalia, Rhinlande-Palatinate, Saarland and Schleswig-Holstein were decorated in front of a widespread audiance of political and economical representatives. |

10 price winners and 22 finalists had won through the second round of the contest against 258 competitors from 7 federal states. The assessment was based on 5 criterias: General development of the company, implementation and securement of jobs and apprenticships as well as achievements in "Innovation/Modernisation", "Regional and Social Engagement" and "Service/Marketing/Customer Relation". |

Gebr. Schumacher was awarded finalist already on the first participation in the contest and therefore elected "Newcomer of the Year" by the jury. Fred Schumacher, general manager, received the award during the gala evening.
„A perfect Cut“, driven by this claim the company developed from an agricultural enterprise to a worldwide active business in 40 years. The Schumacher Group is based in Germany, USA, Brazil and Russia and engages more than 300 workers. |

Gebr. Schumacher developes, produces and distributes cutting systems and components for combines. The company was already awarded several times for the innovation potential and suppliers reliability. "It is very important for us", so Fred Schumacher, "to have the interest of the people working in the company close to what happens during the cutting of the grain." We want to enthuse everyone. We still run our own combine to connect practice and trialing. |

The nomination as Finalist in the most important German Contest for middle sized companies follows the 40th anniversary of Gebr. Schumacher, which was celebrated last year. It is seen as affirmation for the way gone by Gebr. Schumacher and support for the projects to master in future. Therefore, the Schumacher Group will be present several product improvements at Agritechnica in November, the worlds largest Agricultural Exhibition (8.-14. Nov, Hanover, Germany). |
